CDT has developed a variety of software speech training products. The most recent of these are the Speech Perception Assessment and Training Systems, SPATS-HI for hearing impaired listeners, and SPATS-ESL for students of English as a second language. Another recent product is TBAC, the Test of Basic Auditory Capabilities, Version 4. TBAC is a battery of ten tests that provides reliable measures of basic auditory abilities in the form of percentile ranks relative to a large sample of young adults with normal hearing. CDT also conducts contract research projects in its own facilities and provides consulting on auditory research studies developed by other organizations.
